Consider this; You have a three bedroom house, you and your spouse sleep in one room, your 6 year old son has one, and your 4 year old son has the third one. Your family is now expecting a baby girl! Congratulations? Of course, but where are you going to put everybody? You don’t have the time or the financial resources at the moment to even consider looking for a bigger house.
The two boys can double up in one of the bedrooms, however, there just isn’t enough room left over after both beds are in the one bedroom. Bunk beds to the rescue, so to speak.
