How to get more traffic using Twitter For Business

The micro bloging platform Twitter has carved itself a media storm in the last few months with a media frenzy of stars and celebrities discussing Twitter on their video casts , and marketing experts telling us we can leverage Twitter to hundreds of fans , the talk about Twitter is hard to avoid . You most likely know people on Twitter and your suppliers may have invited you to their Twitter profile . That segues us to our main topic . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?

A lot of people, actually I think most, don’t even “get” Twitter. And that’s partly because it can be many different things to almost as many people. And to some extent, they may even be all true, at least to that person.

Regardless of how you feel about Twitter personally, there are some great strategies you should consider and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. Even at a minimum you have one more point of contact via Twitter , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. I mean a few people are just going to wonder if your business (or you) are on Twitter and type in twitter dot com slash acme widgets. Now it will be embarrassing is a cyber squatter is sitting on your own name, so another good reason to make sure you secure your place in the Twit’o’sphere. (By the way things can be done about cyber squatters, just ask me.)

In other articles we talk about how to get noticed for your keyword and how to manage your account for targeted conversion (also covered well in that free video I mentioned earlier) but let’s do something we can do right now.

Many people perceive Twitter traffic as an internal channel of Twitter itself . A concept most Twitter directories encourage . But in the real Twitter , the advantages of having your normal traffic join you on Twitter are well worth having . So valuable that we need to do something about it now .

The easiest thing is to add a Twitter “badge” to your existing web entities . A Twitter badge is a graphic stating who you are on Twitter with an active link to your Twitter page. In the videos , you’ll see how , but let’s stick to a simple badge for now .

WHERE CAN I DOWNLAOD MY TWITTER BADGE ?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge for zilcho from here ;
http://wwwTwitterHug.com/twitter/category/badge/ – FREE Customised Twitter FollowMe Badges .

You simply paste the HTML code it provides in to your website, store, or blog and your customised graphic with active link, will magically appear .

It also works on Wordpress blogs. I’ve added them on my own blogs.

The Badge is housed in its own little HTML DIV tag so should exist easily almost anywhere.

If you create a table or div tag to position it in , then you can just paste the code in verbatim . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.

The rewards from promoting your own Twitter profile are immense. From SEO to relationships to direct sales.
